Salisbury BID is launching a cost effective and environmentally friendly waste and recycling scheme to help businesses in the town save money and receive better service. Too often we see bags of rubbish lying around on the streets of our beautiful city, and the BID wants to change this.
We are working in partnership with Grist environmental, a Wiltshire based waste company who pride themselves on their core business values of caring for the environment, excellent service and a wide range of waste services.
The Waste charter has been ‘soft launched’ and indications from early adopters of the scheme show that hundreds of pounds could be saved each year by businesses on the new competitive tariffs. Graham Hayball of Hayball & Co. Cycles said: “Having changed our waste provider to Grist we have seen a great improvement in service, reliable service being vital to a small business like ours. This scheme from Salisbury BID once again demonstrates the value of businesses working together. We could not have negotiated such a contract by acting alone.”
- Competitive lowered rates exclusive to Salisbury BID levy-payers
- 0% of waste goes to landfill
- No bin rental charges
- No duty of care charges
Steve Godwin, Business Manager for Salisbury BID, said: “Improving the look of the city, helping our levy – payers access better service and reduce their costs is important for businesses and the city. We have chosen to work with Grist as they provide everything we were looking for; consistent, regular service, care for the environment and competitive prices. We have negotiated an exclusive tariff from Grist which will make significant savings for a number of businesses and organisations in Salisbury.”
