21st May 2023

Join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of Salisbury

Salisbury BID (Business Improvement District) is a democratically elected, entrepreneurial team dedicated to enhancing our city as well as supporting, promoting and representing over 500 city businesses.

The BID is funded by its business levy payers who are located within the ring road of Salisbury city centre. Businesses with a rateable value of £10,000 (£12,000 from April 2024) or above pay into Salisbury BID through an annual levy, with funds amounting to approx. £350,000 per year. These funds are allocated to projects and services which support the business environment.

Salisbury BID was successfully renewed for a second five-year term in March 2019, with a record-breaking ballot result. 90% voted yes with a turnout of 66%.

Since 2019, Salisbury BID has delivered a bold business plan, raising and re-invested over £2 million in our city over the past five years. We have successfully delivered projects, initiatives, partnerships and events that have had a significant positive impact for our levy-paying businesses and all those that spend time in our modern medieval city.

Salisbury BID is looking for Directors to help steer businesses through a successful reballot in Autumn 2023 and into a third 5 year term from April 2024 striving for a vibrant and thriving Salisbury.

Salisbury BID is committed to creating an inclusive environment and actively encourages applications from underrepresented groups.
