Grants for businesses affected by national restrictions

The government has announced that grant funding will be made available for those businesses required to close as a result of the national restrictions imposed from 5th November.

Businesses required to close in England due the national restrictions will be eligible for a grant from the government.

The grants for businesses are:

  • For properties with a rateable value of £15,000 or under, grants to be £1,334 per month, or £667 per two weeks
  • For properties with a rateable value of between £15,000 - £51,000 grants to be £2,000 per month, or £1,000 per two weeks
  • For properties with a rateable value of £51,000 or over grants to be £3,000 per month, or £1,500 per two weeks

Businesses required to close or have been severely affected by the national restrictions, but which do not pay business rates, may be eligible for a grant through the discretionary grant scheme.

Grants for Salisbury businesses will be administered by Wiltshire Council, and further details about the application process will be released soon.
