What a spectacular week, Indies Week 2022 was. There was so much to celebrate for our City of Independents between Monday 4th and Friday 8th July.
We had a jam packed schedule with business swaps and Instagram lives going ahead and social content covering every day of indies week.
Monday 4th July saw the first business swap from Old Sarum Tattoo and Conker Boutique.
Owner of Old Sarum Tattoo, Darren said: It was great to meet Sarah from Conker Boutique who was very gracious with her time and gave us some great advice on how they are working to ensure a positive future for her business and community as a whole and how we can apply that to our business.
I do recommend other Salisbury Indies taking part as the more information we share between us the better service we can all provide to Salisbury’s citizens and visitors.
Tuesday 5th July had us meeting Ilona from Yoga Stuff for an Instagram Live! Ilona told us all about her business and events that she regularly put on for all of her customers.
Wednesday 6th July we were met with Casa Fina and The Old Ale and Coffee House for the second business swap.
Owner of The Old Ale and Coffee House, Shane O’Neill said: “The business swap was a fantastic idea, it was so much fun to go and work in another independent business so different from my own. It’s always great to support local independent business, and how much more local can you get than your neighbour!”
Thursday 7th July was another Instagram Live! This time we met with Lois from Muse Hairdressing! Lois told us all about her salon and their mission to back sustainability throughout their work.
On Friday 8th July we rounded off Indies week with our final business swap with Artisan Wine and Spirit Co and Miss Tiff's.
Co-owner of Artisan Wine and Spirit Co, Elizabeth Coombes said: “There is a real thirst in Salisbury for local indie businesses like us and we love collaborating with others to bring new and exciting events to the city centre. We love Salisbury and we honestly feel like it’s welcomed us with open arms.”
It's safe to say Indies Week 2022 was a huge success! Thank you to all of our businesses that got involved!
