31st August 2022

Monthly round up of BID News

The Taste Salisbury festivities began on all our social media channels on Monday 8th August. Each day we have seen a different independent businesses showcases on Salisbury Indies as well as different offers and events on Experience Salisbury. All of which are of course shared across Salisbury BID's social platforms.

We've had businesses such as The George and Dragon, Rai d'Or, The Old Ale and Coffee House, The Yard, New Tadi Market and many more, get involved in Taste Salisbury this year. Over 40 businesses across the city centre have signed up to take part and put on their own special offer, menu or event over the 10-day feastival.

Our Ranger Andy got busy cleaning an alley way off the High Street in town. This alley way was in need of some much needed TLC. Andy pressure washed the floor and walls, cleaned off the offensive graffiti and re-painted the walls. All in a days work!

Cherrytree Coffee Bar on Mill Road, opened it's doors this month, the owners of Peartree Apartments, which the new café is attached to is now open Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm and Saturday to Sunday 9am - 5pm.

A renovation of the serviced apartments was completed just as coronavirus hit so when the pandemic restrictions eased, owner Arron Howle decided to make extra space for guests and the local community to congregate. Cherrytree Coffee Bar offers a premium experience, with hot and cold coffees, Frappuccino's, teas, wine, beer, ice cream and cakes. As well as an inside café area, there is also a large outdoor space, perfect for enjoying the summer sun.

The new venture may only just have opened, but Cherrytree Coffee Bar is already making sure it’s involved in city initiatives by taking part in the upcoming Taste Salisbury food and drink festival. From 26th August to 4th September, customers will receive 50% off all coffees, pastries and cookies. Arron is looking forward to getting involved:
