Monthly Round Up – September 2022

30th September 2022

Monthly round up of BID News

The Taste Salisbury festivities ended on Sunday 4th September. The second year was even more special than the first, with more events and bigger promotions. Following the success of 2021, we worked to make sure this year’s celebration was even bigger and better and it certainly was, with many more businesses getting involved.  For a summary and more photos from Taste Salisbury click here.

Salisbury BID is giving you the chance to have your 2022 Christmas window created by a TV designer! We are launching a not-to-be-missed competition that will see Christmas come early for three lucky levy-payers. Businesses are being given the chance to have a festive window designed and built by one of the designers seen in the Salisbury episode of the BBC’s Interior Design Masters which aired earlier this year. Fran Lee, Amy Davies and Dean Powell will be back to give businesses another makeover, this time with a festive theme. Anyone wanting to enter will need to fill out the application form by 4th October 2022.

We are backing the #BusinessSOS campaign, founded by organisations representing over 150,000 retail, leisure, hospitality and tourism businesses warns harm caused by the spiralling energy crisis is superseding the pandemic with the potential to cause irreversible damage to UK high streets and the economy. We are calling on the Government to deliver support to our retail, hospitality & leisure businesses so they have every chance to survive following the rise in energy costs.
