Salisbury BID has today launched a #ShopSalisbury competition via their new social media pages ‘Salisbury Together’. With pages across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, the account is run by Salisbury BID in partnership with Salisbury City Council, Salisbury Cathedral and Wiltshire Creative.
Salisbury BID has announced this competition as part of its #ShopSalisbury campaign.
To enter the competition, all consumers have to do is post an image of something they have bought from a Salisbury city centre business in July, along with a caption outlining why they have shopped at that business. The winning post will then be chosen and announced at the beginning of August.
Kara Rogers, Marketing & Communications Manager of Salisbury BID, said: "We're working hard to promote our businesses and encourage the community to show their support by shopping locally.
"This competition is part of our #ShopSalisbury campaign which we launched to raise the awareness of shopping in Salisbury. The campaign has also seen over 40 shop windows painted with shop local messages and a promotional video with a message from Salisbury business owners.
"It's more important than ever to shop local and we hope this competition will be a great incentive to get people shopping in Salisbury and using our city centre businesses."
Salisbury BID has announced this latest initiative to coincide with Salisbury Independents Month; an awareness drive running throughout July aimed at reminding consumers to support Salisbury’s independent businesses, as they are those most at risk in this uncertain economic climate.
