The 2018 Small Biz 100 are drawn from across the UK and reflect the vibrancy of the UK’s 5.5 million small businesses.
Reflecting the latest in innovative start-up trends, from ethical shopping, through to Artificial Intelligence, this year’s Small Biz 100 features a range of unique independent businesses.
Goodfayre has been recognised as one of this year’s Small Biz 100, for its contribution to both the UK economy and its local community.
Goodfayre is Salisbury’s first vegan and plastic free shop, providing ethical alternatives that help not harm the planet and all who live on it.
Saturday 1st December is Small Business Saturday and is being celebrated across the UK.
Goodfayre are planning a community wide celebration of small business, with a hamper giveaway, selection of prizes from small businesses across the ciy and a guided walking tour through Salisbury showcasing the best of Salisbury's independent shops.
There will be a small business shop take over on Saturday at Goodfayre, where small local businesses will come into the shop to showcase their products.
Dana Burton from Goodfayre said "Supporting small business is what we have based our whole business on, so this event and award is really special for us, being able to highlight everything that is great about small and local business in our city, which we do everyday on a small scale but we have risen to the occasion and create a selection of great events to celebrate it on a larger scale!”
Director of Small Business Saturday UK, Michelle Ovens said “The Small Biz 100 represent the very best in British business at the heart of our economy. Day in day out small businesses prove themselves to be innovative, community-minded and capable of thriving in what are undoubtedly challenging times. They are hugely deserving of recognition and we are thrilled to have the honour of hosting this special celebration at The House of Lords. Small Business Saturday 2018 is open to all businesses to participate in and is currently concluding its regional bus tour roadshow to drum up further support."
