Salisbury Business Support Update

Following the recent unprecedented incident in Salisbury, below is the current business support available from Wiltshire Council and other Salisbury leaders.

Complimentary Legal Advice
Wilsons Solicitors are offering a complimentary 2-hour advice meeting to Salisbury BID's members which have been affected by recent events. The meeting will take place at their offices in Salisbury. To arrange your meeting, contact Emily Hannell on 01722 427 726.

Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Hub
Businesses who feel they need support during this time should ring the Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Hub on 01225 402096. It is manned 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday by staff members who are fully aware of the situation in Salisbury and can provide advice and links to a wide range of support.

The Enterprise Network Centre
Businesses can also call The Enterprise Network Centre in Salisbury (Salt Lane) on 01722 567345. The Enterprise Network Centre will also operate as a drop-in centre for businesses with any queries or concerns and will be open and manned from 9am-5pm, Monday to Saturday.

Business Rates & Hardship Rate Relief
For specific queries about Business Rates and or Hardship Rate Relief please ring for advice on 01722 434401, or email businessrates@wiltshire.gov.uk.

This will go directly to an experienced business rates advisor who understand the Salisbury issue. Wiltshire Council and the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership are committing a small emergency fund to support the worst affected businesses and will be in discussion with other organisations to extend this if possible.

The team is putting together a simple application and eligibility process and will launch this week – contact the number above and an advisor will provide support.

Free Parking in Salisbury
Wiltshire Council have also announced free parking from 24th March 2018 in Salisbury city centre until further notice. This is to encourage visitors into the city. Salisbury BID have played a lead role in the agreement of this initiative.
