Salisbury Food Festival

Salisbury's Food & Drink Festival returns to the Market Place on Sunday 29th September 2019 from 10am until 4pm.

Featuring a wide selection of local food producers and suppliers in the Market Place and Guildhall Square the event will also showcase food demos, talks and samples galore.

Three celebrities will appear in the demo marquee on the Guildhall Square – Nick Nairn, Paul Rankin and Sean Wilson.

Nick Nairn and Paul Rankin are best known for being chefs on TV programme Ready Steady Cook, whilst celebrity chef Sean Wilson is best known for playing Martin Platt on Coronation Street.

In the Guildhall there will be fantastic demos and tastings from Vaughan’s Kitchen, Winchester Distillery, Stone Circle Mead Company and Charter 1227. ABC Cook will be doing cookery workshops for kids in the Market Place.

The event will also host a large variety of food vendors and catering for all tastes including vegan and gluten free options. Visitors can enjoy pasta, curries, Thai, Mexican food and sample an assortment of sweet treats including pancakes, waffles, crepes, ice cream and more.

There will also be street entertainers and live music throughout the day from Marina E, Just Because, Evolution Pop Choir, Cam & Nichole, The Duskers and Off the Cuff.

Food demos are expected to be extremely popular, so booking in advance here is advised to avoid disappointment.

The Salisbury Half Marathon is also taking place in the city on the same day. The race starts at 12noon on New Canal and the finish line is in Salisbury's Cathedral Close. The route is a two loop circuit, so makes an excellent spectator event.
