A roll call of popular high street names is inviting shoppers to show their support for Salisbury through its first-ever city centre gift card.
The Salisbury Gift Card, set to encourage local spending, can be used at more than 100 shops, restaurants, cafes, hotels, salons, entertainment venues, attractions and more.
An initiative of Salisbury Business Improvement District (BID), the gift card operates in the same way as any branded store gift card and is pre-loaded with spending options from £10 up to £500.
Where can the Salisbury Gift Card be spent? The list features leading national brands including Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Topshop and McDonalds and local names such as JAS Hair Salon, family-owned Pritchetts Butchers, Hendersons Artisan Bakery, Shirley Snells Florist and Salisbury City Hall.
Shoppers can readily see if a business is taking part as they will have a branded window sticker on display, or you can visit the Salisbury Gift Card website for a full list of participating businesses.
Where can I purchase the Salisbury Gift Card? The gift card can be purchased at www.salisburygiftcard.co.uk and BID are offering free delivery for the launch. Alternatively, you can purchase directly from the Information Centre (Fish Row) or Salisbury Playhouse (Malthouse Lane).
Helps to keep spend in the city... “This initiative is about encouraging local people, commuters and visitors to shop in the city and to support our local businesses” said BID Chief Executive Robin McGowan.
“It’s the first ever Salisbury city centre gift card and it’s deliberately intended to encourage more people in and keep more consumer spend in our city in light of recent events.
“As well as promoting it ourselves, we encourage employers within easy reach of Salisbury to consider offering the card to their workforces as an ideal employee incentive or bonus.”
