Salisbury City Council are inviting local businesses, along with residents, to attend a launch event to develop a Neighbourhood Development Plan for the city.
The event is being held at The Guildhall, Salisbury on Wednesday 27th February from 6.30pm until 8.30pm.
The city council began the preparation of the Neighbourhood Plan almost a year ago. In January 2018, a well-attended community event was help where they began to identify what should go into the plan.
Unfortunately the plan was put on hold due to the Salisbury incident which took place in March 2018.
The Neighbourhood Plan is a town planning policy document that is prepared by the community to direct how future development will occur.
In Salisbury’s case, it will become a tool to help determine what the city will be like in the future and will reflect the needs and wishes of the Salisbury community.
The event will brief local people and businesses on how the council plan to undertake and develop the two year project and to invite community members to become part of the Steering Group to oversee the process.
The event is free to attend, and light refreshments will be available, however booking is required.
