Salisbury’s Businesses Say “Thank You” to Hospital NHS Staff

28th April 2021

Businesses in Salisbury have teamed up to say a big “Thank You” to NHS staff, working at Salisbury District Hospital, who have done so much to support the City during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In an initiative between Salisbury BID and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, over 30 of Salisbury’s most popular businesses, including retail and leisure venues, have generously offered discounts and benefits to the hospital’s 4,000+ staff.

Susan Young, Interim Chief People Officer, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust said:

“Our staff are hugely grateful for all the support the people of Salisbury have given us over the past year. It has been a great boost to morale. Many businesses have not had it easy and that so many of them have found it possible to extend discounts to our staff is fantastic. As the lock-down eases and businesses reopen we can now do our bit to support Salisbury by choosing to shop local.”

Dan Collins, Business Manager of Salisbury BID said:

“Our NHS workers have gone above and beyond to see us through the coronavirus pandemic. They have put their lives on the line and we can't thank them enough. Salisbury businesses have got behind the new NHS discount booklet as a way of showing their appreciation for the hard work and dedication we witness from the NHS every day.”
