Earlier this week, Debenhams announced they were supporting the High Street by offering to pay for car parking for customers who spend more than £50 in store.
Shirley Snells on Milford Street will now also be reimbursing customers for two hours parking when spending £50 or more in store.
Customers must present a photo of their car parking ticket when making their purchase in store.
This offer will run until 31st December 2018.
Jill Jolliffe, owner of Shirley Snells Florist, said: “Debenhams have come up with a great campaign to try and boost the footfall into the town centre over this critical period for retailers. We hope that by extending the offer we can not only encourage more people to shop locally, but to try and encourage more businesses to take part in the idea as well.
“The city has had a really hard year this year so we want to do what we can in order to encourage people to come into town for their Christmas shopping and exploring all our lovely independents instead of shopping online.”
Salisbury BID are fully supportive of Shirley Snells and their parking initiative. The BID praise them for being proactive to support their business and the wider city.
The BID are encouraging other independent retailers to join in and get involved with the parking scheme.
In partnership with VisitWiltshire, Salisbury BID co-fund the Visit Salisbury website to promote the city to visitors. The Visit Salisbury website has a full events calendar for Salisbury.
