The Vanner Gallery will be hosting a group show of the nation’s emerging artists. The art graduates from Goldsmiths, Central Saint Martins, Liverpool, Norwich and other universities were selected initially by the Graduate Art Show 2022, a new and exciting platform which supports young inspiring contemporary artists, to showcase in London during Frieze Week London.
Nearly 300 MA and BA graduates submitted their work for consideration by the judges to be shown at two London galleries, the Woolff and Zari galleries in Fitzrovia. The new Salisbury exhibition will feature art pieces from a wide disciplinary range including painting, drawing, ceramics, objects and installation.
Director of The Graduate Art Show Victoria Charlton, also a resident of Salisbury said, “I’ve followed the exhibitions at the Vanner Gallery where there is a constant show of exciting and innovative work. Art must have more than its share of adventure. The graduates exhibiting at the Vanner Gallery will reach a wide audience so essential to their future in the art world. David certainly knows how to make art accessible to everyone.
David Christie says: “I visited the Graduate Art Show and have selected more than 20 of the artists to bring their work to the gallery. We have a vibrant art scene here in Salisbury. As a gallery, we present programmes of exhibitions featuring original pieces from artists working locally, regionally and nationally. I hope this fresh selection of work which showcases the extraordinary energy and diversity of talent of these new graduates from all over the country will excite the people of Salisbury. I believe this show will do exactly that.”
