July is Independents Month, and throughout the month Salisbury BID will be championing the city’s impressive independent businesses.
Salisbury is lucky to have over 200 indies from hairdressers to pet stores and restaurants to clothes shops.
The last few years haven’t been easy for them, especially with a pandemic to deal with, but they have remained strong and their resilience and spirit has shone through.
Salisbury BID is proud of the strength our city and business community has shown which is why we are funding a new campaign to celebrate Independents Month.
As part of celebrations, shoppers will be able to get their hands on a free Salisbury shopping bag from independent businesses across the city centre.
The stylish cotton tote shopping bags have been funded by Salisbury BID and are designed with the new Salisbury branding. Shoppers will receive one, for free, when they spend over £20 in participating independent businesses.
Robin McGown, Chief Executive of Salisbury BID said: “It has been a turbulent year but our indies have shown their strength, and still stand proud. This is something we should celebrate. We are proud of our businesses and their resilience and during Independents Month, we acknowledge their hard work. We also say thank you to shoppers for their continued support and as we move towards the end of coronavirus restrictions, we look forward to a positive summer for everyone.”
Salisbury BID will be working with Experience Salisbury to promote indies during Independents Month. As well as the shopping bag giveaway there will be blogs, features and competitions on the Experience Salisbury website all showcasing our fantastic range of indies – from shops to restaurants to professional services.
