For retailers in particular, Christmas is a crucial time for their success - a strong Christmas trading period can counteract a poor year of trading, so the BID recognises it's imperative we optimise this time and do everything we can to encourage people into the city centre to support businesses.
What does Salisbury BID do to support Christmas in Salisbury?
The Christmas in Salisbury promotional partnership is made up of Salisbury BID, Salisbury City Council, Salisbury Cathedral and Wiltshire Creative. The BID lead this group and delivers the agreed marketing and communications activities on behalf of the partners.
The BID funds and manages the Christmas in Salisbury website, as well as the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
The BID also significantly invests into the Christmas in Salisbury what's on guide and co-ordinates the production of this brochure. 120,000 copies of the 2019 guide were printed and distributed by Royal Mail to residents and businesses within a 40 minute drive of the city centre.
