What is Taste Salisbury? Taste, Salisbury's premier food and drink festival, returned in 2024 for its fourth year. It encompasses foodie events, experiences, trails as well as Foodie Sunday, a day of food and drink in the Market Square. The city-wide festival encompasses a range of hospitality businesses and partners and is produced by Salisbury BID and Salisbury City Council.
Taste Events 9 unique partner events were hosted during Taste 2024 including: - Dinner With Rex - An Evening in the King's Room at The Salisbury Museum - Set Menu: The Best of George Egg at Salisbury Arts Centre - Rums and Drums hosted by The Artisan Wine and Spirit Co. Another key event in Taste Salisbury 2024 was Foodie Sunday, a free day of foodie fun. From 10am - 5pm, the Market Square was home to a large variety of food vendors, a beer tent, The Great Salisbury Bake Off, eating competitions and a pre-loved cookbook sale.
Taste Trails New for 2024, the Taste Trails are four foodie routes highlighting incredible, independent places to eat in Salisbury. The four city-wide trails incorporated 47 hospitality businesses and each had a distinct theme: - Coffee Crawl - Ale Trail - Best of British - Around the World Trail maps were available at all participating businesses, Salisbury Information Centre and Salisbury Library, and a digital copy was also available to download from the Experience Salisbury website.
Taste Marketing A comprehensive marketing strategy was devised and executed by Salisbury BID to promote Taste Salisbury. This included out of home advertising, brochure printing, paid and organic social media content, Google Ads and local media advertising. Key Statistics - 364,063 people reached - 10,000 brochures printed - 483 new ES followers on Facebook and Instagram - 79 BID businesses promoted - 69 pieces of brand new content created in-house
