Christmas is fast approaching, and we have a lot of exciting opportunities, events and goings on to share with our levy payers this festive season. 

From Cinderella to carol singers, reindeer and festive cheer, there’s plenty to be excited about in Salisbury this Christmas. Salisbury City Council, Salisbury Cathedral and Wiltshire Creative have come together to make sure this festive period is full of magic and merriment for all ages. There is now a live form you should complete if you are at all interested in being involved in of the events, promotions or opportunities we are offering this Christmas.

Some of things you can expect from Salisbury BID this Christmas are:

  • BBC Design Masters designers are returning to the city to festively dress three lucky levy payer windows!
  • We are making it snow in Salisbury this Christmas! Salisbury BID are bringing the festive weather to the city centre with a snow machine.
  • Together with Salisbury City Council, Salisbury BID have put funding towards a Christmas Trail running throughout December.
  • Funded with city partners, we have created a leaflet that will be delivered to over 96,000 homes about all the different events going on in Salisbury this Christmas.
  • We have created a Christmas Gift Guide to send to levy payers for the staff Christmas gifts.
  • To help book Christmas parties and events this year we sent out a Christmas party guide to help keep spend local to Salisbury this Christmas.

 

Your Salisbury Pantry is our City’s Social Supermarket run by the Salisbury City Council Communities Team. Your Salisbury Pantry is putting a call out to the Residents and Businesses of Salisbury to work with us to extend the capacity of the Pantry this winter. ‘Team Salisbury’ did a great job representing Salisbury at the Group Leisure Travel Show 2022 and had plenty of interest from group travel operators. For more information regarding what happens next click here.

 

We have created a Safety in Salisbury news page on our website which covers upcoming meetings and projects concerning safety in Salisbury and Wiltshire. This includes the ProtectUK Toolkit, Safer South Wilts and NBCC's national week of action to support businesses and reduce business crime. Here are the next few dates for the Shopwatch meetings, (all meetings are held at 10am at the Guildhall): 

  • Tuesday 15th November
  • Tuesday 20th December

  • We saw some spooktacular window displays for Halloween from our businesses across the city.
  • A2Z Cloud for won tech team of the year at The Techies Awards this month.
  • Coffee #1 has revealed that it is set to open in the city centre next month.
  • JAS Hair launched their Reward Me scheme with other indies across the city.
  • We did a meet and great with Manager Luke and Bridal Manager Ester from Allum & Sidaway. 
  • ELEVATE Dance Company, is putting on an exciting Spooky Themed three day show for the public.
  • Wendy Stevens Hair celebrated 5 years since opening!
  • We did more meet and greets with Craig and Mark from Accessory Depo and Jayne and Neil from JAS Hair.
  • Pure Comfort launch an Autumn sale
